CanYouHandlebar

A few weeks ago I went down to Atlanta Georgia for The Bronner Brothers Hair show and stumbled upon Can You Handlebar, they had their own booth featuring all their products.
later that night  I emailed them and received a box of products.
This is a nice summary of some of the products they offer on their site.
Can you handle bar is a  company based out of Michigan that provides premium beard care products.
All their products are made in the USA.
Can You Handlebar offers amazing service If you have any questions or need beard counseling they will go out of their way to help and offer real live human support

as  well!

What is in my moustache toolkit?

Wax Lifter Pick  (Guitar pick)

Picks make scooping wax less messy.  Wax Lifter Picks are more useful than one would think for use with any product.  They assist with getting a good amount of product when removing max from the can.  while also keeping a product clean.  I like to use picks to prevent my product from getting under my nail, but they are also useful for keeping bacteria out of products.
They measure at about .80mm thick.
They are so thin they can fit inside a can of wax.
They can fit in your pocket or a small change purse.

Picks measure about .80 mm thick

Moustache Wax

The Moustache Wax set of Primary and Secondary Wax

Primary
daily hold wax
The first step in using moustache wax is to warm the wax to body temperature. At body temperature this wax can be applied easily.
I scoop a little wax out with my moustache pick and roll the wax between my index fingers and thumbs.
Then I apply the wax in the middle of the moustache and move towards then ends, finally comb through and then lightly shape with fingers.

Secondary Extra Strength Wax
This secondary wax adds a firm hold which is great for shaping and styling.
Secondary wax helps curl your moustache and keep it from drooping throughout the day.

Secondary wax with the lid on under hot water or a hair dryer on low heat.
To apply
I scoop a little wax out with my moustache pick and roll the wax between my index fingers and thumbs.
Then I apply the wax in the middle of the moustache and move towards then ends, toward the curls.

Moustache wax is made of wax (from Michigan bees),  USP lanolin, olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, vitamin E.
Free of petroleum, nut oils artificial dyes and fragrances.

This moustache wax is non-scented.

All tins are made of stainless steel with oil proof, waterproof labels.

The best time to use a beard oil is on warm slightly damp hair.
Hair that is slightly damp and warm absorbs oils the best. The best time is after showering, towel dry.

( 1/2 - 1 teaspoon )  Start with small amounts and add more if needed.

Start at the tips/bottom and work way up. I run my fingers through the beard. Just massage oil into the entire beard. front and back.

When using a comb or brush I use short strokes, I do not pull any hair.

The Can you Handlebar beard brush is very nice.
Their beard bursh is a little smaller than what I am use to, but can be very nice for guys who like to keep a brush on them.

This beard brush has fine bristles made of horse hair which is perfect for detangling and taming facial hair.  It tames hair without snagging hairs or pulling hair. The brush doesn't irritate skin or scrape. Beard brushes work great for applying beard balms and oils.
With a beard brush there really isn't any issue with having to massage oils with fingers.
The brush is also comfortable to hold, the brush is about palm sized with a wooden base.
The brush comes in a travel tin. which can come in handy for preserving the bristles when storing.

The brush comes in a travel tin

When using oil with a brush I simply
1. apply a few drops of oil into the center of the beard brush.
2. Brush the oil into beard starting from the bottom and working way up to face.
place brush in storage between uses.
I clean my brush before and after each use. I hand wash the brush with warm water and a gentle soap.  I prefer non-scented soap bars.
clean the beard brush  monthly and allow to air dry before storing.
